Successful Home Ceremony in Lancaster, CA! September 17, 2024

Building Homes for Heroes was joined by Chase and Lowe’s on Sept. 12 to gift a mortgage-free home in Lancaster, California to Navy Hospital Corpsman Second Class Miguel De Leon, his wife and their two children. Miguel  joined the military in 1999 and served for 14 years, with deployments to both Iraq and Afghanistan. Miguel suffered many physical and psychological injuries throughout his years of service, including an enemy attack when explosive devices were detonated while his crew was on a rescue mission in the Persian Gulf.

Lowe’s and Chase each participated in volunteer days leading up to the Sept. 12 gifting to help ready the home for the De Leon Family. This was also the first of 11 Homes in 11 weeks that Building Homes for Heroes will gift and modify in honor of the anniversary of 9/11 and Veterans Day.
