Our 401st home in Indianapolis December 16, 2024

Four days after celebrating our milestone 400th home, the Building Homes for Heroes team was back it! On a frigid day in Indianapolis on Dec. 11, we provided a life-changing gift for Army Sergeant First Class Timothy Duffin, his wife Mellisa and their three children.

Timothy, a Special Forces veteran and a Bronze Star recipient, served more than 12 years in the military, and struggles severely with physical and emotional wounds, many stemming from a harrowing IED explosion and subsequent firefight with enemy forces while serving in Afghanistan.

This was our first home gifted in partnership with Lennar Homes, with three more planned to gift together in 2025! But on this day, hundreds lined the streets and braved the cold to make it a very special winter celebration for the Duffin family.
