Hundreds lined the streets in Charlotte, North Carolina as we welcomed home Army Sergeant First Class Jacob Schank, his wife and their two children to their forever home.

The home was once again a collaboration with PulteGroup, as well as Lowe’s, who is headquarters in nearby Mooresville. Dozens from Lowe’s were in attendance, including Executive Vice President of Stores, Joe McFarland, who delivered a speech before introducing our Founder and CEO, Andy Pujol.

Jacob, who joined the military shortly after 9/11, served for nearly 20 years and is the recipient of the Purple Heart and three Bronze Stars. It was a beautiful day under sunny skies – a perfect day to honor our nation’s heroes.

Next, we turn our sights towards our 400th home on Dec. 7 in Dallas, Texas to cap off what has been a historic year for Building Homes for Heroes!
