Down The Hatch 2024 August 25, 2024

We've raised $125,000. A Huge Thank You

Your gift helps us keep the promise of our mission: to build or modify homes and gift them, mortgage-free to veterans and their families.

This past Sunday, August 25 was our 10th Annual Building Homes for Heroes event at Down the Hatch. On a beautiful summer day, we were overwhelmed by the energy, excitement, and support of the community.

Thanks to your donations, attention, and cheers along the way, you helped us raise a record $27,000 on Sunday. With donations still coming in, we are on track to raise more than $120,000! This money will go directly to serve the mission of Building Homes for Heroes.

We are truly humbled by your generosity and the ways in which our communities show up in support of Building Homes for Heroes.

The organization was founded on, and is driven by, the idea of ongoing action. It’s right there, in the name: building something takes dedication, commitment, and teamwork. Our success is powered by your determination to change lives for the better.

While donations continue to come in, and the final number might change, it was important to us to share the heights that your generosity rocketed us to. We wouldn’t be here without you.

To close out this year’s event, please allow us to say: thank you, please enjoy the remaining days of summer, and cheers to next year’s 11th annual event, and all those still to come!

With gratitude,

Tony Sigillito, Board Member and Treasurer

Chloe Sigillito, Event Co-Chair

Joni Park, Event Co-Chair
