United States Air Force Colonel (retired) Jim Cummings served 24 years on active duty including positions at The White House on the National Security Council, as an executive assistant to the Secretary of the Air Force and Chief of Staff, multiple command positions, and various overseas deployments. While in command, he lead full spectrum cyber activities on behalf of the United States Air Force in direct support of combat activities. Upon retirement, Jim held various cyber related consulting positions with Deloitte and Lockheed Martin, before joining JP Morgan Chase & Company as their Chief Security Officer. While holding this position, he was responsible for global physical and technical security, business continuity, investigations, executive aircraft, Military and Veteran Affairs, and cyber security for the firm’s 240,000 employees in 60 countries and within 6,600 facilities. In September 2017, he became a Senior Advisor to Oliver Wyman financial consulting firm based in New York City and the President of Building Homes for Heroes. In September of 2019, Jim resigned from Building Homes for Heroes and joined the Board of Directors. Today, he is a Partner/Co-Founder of NEXT PEAK, a cyber security firm, and has continued to serve Oliver Wyman as a Senior Advisor on Cyber Risk Management and Cyber Defense.
