With over 30 dedicated years at Highland Homes, Garon Bruce is a seasoned professional known for driving projects to success with a strategic vision and meticulous attention to detail. Currently serving as the Vice President of Construction over the Fort Worth division, he plays a pivotal role in overseeing the execution of construction initiatives, ensuring they meet the highest standards of customer service, quality, and efficiency.
Garon began his career in construction in 1993. He quickly rose through the ranks, demonstrating unparalleled expertise in managing complex construction projects from inception to completion. His journey includes notable roles such as Senior Construction Manager, Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, Division Construction Manager, and now as Vice President of Construction at Highland Homes.
Throughout his career, Garon has played a pivotal role in the successful delivery of numerous high-profile projects. These range from implementing large-scale construction best practices across multiple divisions statewide to spearheading intricate residential developments as a key stakeholder. Among his notable achievements is the HGTV® Smart Home build in 2019, and he is currently at the helm of constructing the newest and fifth Highland Homes Home office in Fort Worth.
Over the past 20 years, Garon has been at the forefront of giving back to the DFW community. His journey began with Texas Home Access Fund Inc., where he championed home renovations to enhance the independence of physically challenged individuals and uplift the quality of life for both them and their families. Every year, he spearheads Highland Homes Building Homes for Heroes campaign, a tradition he has upheld since the inception of Highland Homes’ partnership. Additionally, he actively contributes as a member of the Collin College Construction Advisory Board and serves on the Advisory Council at his church.
Garon met his wife, Brandy, in the business, and they have been married for over 26 years. They have two beautiful daughters, Lillian, and Bella. Garon follows in the footsteps of his father, from whom he attributes his strong work ethic. Garon’s father, Roland, worked his way up from flipping burgers to owning multiple McDonald’s franchises.
