On a beautiful summer day in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Building Homes for Heroes was proud to gift a mortgage-free home to Army Sergeant Michael Lawson, his wife Crystal, and their children during a heartfelt ceremony filled with community, gratitude, and patriotism.

Sergeant Lawson served nearly eight years in the U.S. Army, including active duty and reserve service. He deployed twice to Iraq, once to Afghanistan, and once to Kuwait. Throughout his military career, he was exposed to multiple IED blasts and other traumatic events, resulting in lasting physical and psychological injuries.

This home was generously donated by Chase, and we extend our sincere gratitude for their continued commitment to veterans. We’re especially grateful to Mark Elliott, Managing Director and Global Head of Military and Veterans Affairs at Chase, for attending the ceremony and supporting this wonderful event.

This home represents a step forward for the Lawson family to heal, grow, and build their future. We thank Michael for his service and sacrifice, and we thank Chase for helping make this day possible!
