As 2026 draws to close, Building Homes for Heroes continued to embody the spirit of the season, gifting the second of five homes in the month of December. This time, the life changing moment belonged to Army Private Christopher Justiniano and his fiancé, Jacklyn, who were welcomed into a brand new, mortgage- free home they can now call their own.

On a beautiful day in Belton, Texas, supporters lined the streets waving American flags, creating a heartfelt homecoming for the Justinianos. The home, custom built by Pulte, marked the 28th house gifted through the continued partnership between the two organizations, each one a testament to service and community.

The home is a gift of appreciation in return for Christopher’s service and sacrifice. While deployed in Iraq, his vehicle was ambushed as his unit investigated a buried IED. A pickup truck carrying more than 500 pounds of TNT detonated next to his vehicle, leaving him unconscious for 20 minutes and resulting in a traumatic brain injury. Today, Christopher lives with PTSD, traumatic brain injury, vertigo, hearing loss, and tinnitus.

Now, after years of resilience and recovery, Christopher and Jacklyn have a place to build their future together, and a symbol of gratitude that their sacrifice will never be forgotten.
