Hundreds joined Building Homes for Heroes Team for our milestone 400th home ceremony in Argyle, Texas on Pearl Harbor Day to welcome home Army Specialist Josh Sager and his wife, Melanie, into their new home.
This year's Long Island Golf Outing will be in loving memory of Jim Adelis. Jim Adelis spent much of his life giving back to the community and never sought praise. His actions were so far-reaching that they even surprised his wife, Lucy. He also organized the Trees for Troops event each year at Dees’ Nursery in Oceanside and gave back to the community in many other ways. He died on April 4, 2020, of Covid-19, but leaves behind a legacy of giving.
Building Homes for Heroes is really giving hope to veterans like myself, even having been born in a country like Haiti. The future is bright and full of opportunities here in America.
Isaac Francois
United States Navy HN1
I didn’t believe it was really happening. I have some more surgeries coming up. This home is going to make everything so much easier for myself and my wife to take care of me.
Jerry Majetich
Army Staff Sergeant
One of the great things about Building Homes for Heroes is they continue to support the service members, their entire families and their children after they receive their home. We’re never forgotten.
Nathan Nelson
United States Air Force Captain
Seeing the community that came together that came out to support us. That was the most joyful time for me. I love what our life looks like moving forward.
John Goudie
United States Army Sergeant First Class
Building Homes for Heroes gave us happiness. They gave us the opportunity to be a family again. They gave me freedom.
George Vera
U.S. Army Master Sergeant
Building Homes for Heroes is a family. They help us reach heights never imagined when injured.
